Oncology Massage

What is Oncology Massage?

Oncology Massage is a specifically adapted massage designed for those who are undergoing, or who have recently undergone, treatment for cancer.

Oncology Massage is performed with light pressure and can be done with or without oils to suit your preferences.  It can be performed on any areas of the body you wish, with care taken to avoid sore or sensitive areas.

What should I expect from an Oncology Massage?

Oncology Massage sessions can last up to 1 hour, though the treatment itself can be broken down into smaller segments if required. It will be conducted with gentle “butterfly touch” techniques to prevent stress upon a potentially compromised body system. It is a place for you to unburden yourself, physically, mentally and emotionally and you should feel free to do so without fear.

What should I wear for an Oncology Massage?

This will depend on the area of the body you wish to have massaged.  That area will need to be uncovered for the treatment, but other areas can remain covered.  If you wear a wig or hairpiece, you should feel free to take this off.  A mirror will be available to allow you to check it before leaving the session.
